Good morning,everyone! My name is Lin Lexi,I am from Class 2,Grade 7.It’s my honor to stand here to give you a speech,my topic is《How to Learn English well？》.
English is important and useful to us,but how can we learn it well? Here are my some suggestions:
Firstly,I think an interest in English is very important. If you are interested in English, you will find everything easy,and it will be the best teacher for success.
Secondly,plsease always remember that English learning starts from listening. Listen,listen and listen more whenever you’re free.Listen to English radio or podcasts can improve your English listening comprehension,you can download English -language podcasts or radio apps on your phone or Ipad on weekend,then you can listen everywhere every time you want.
Thirdly,If you want to learn English well, you should talk in English as much as possible. For example,you can talk with your classmates and teachers in English daily,you also can often speak English at home with your family.Be confident,don’t be afraid of making mistakes,because making mistakes is a part of the learning process, they will help you to become better.Speaking in English more often can help you improve your pronunciation,That‘s what I need to improve.we can do it together.
Finally, Reading is an essential part of learning a new language, we can read more English newspapers and magazines,even a very short English story.Reading is beneficial to every English learner, which can improve your vocabulary, grammar and everything else you can expect in the language. Recently I am reading an English novel which is about wild cats,it calls《Warriors》,it is very interesting,I learn many news words and sentences from the books.
Aside from speaking, reading and listening,writing is necessary,we can spend some time in writing,try to keeping an English diary or write down a few sentences every day. You can try to improve your grammar skill,try to learn and remember more new words in your spare time to expand your vocabulary,mind map is a nice way,try to use it.
Besides,Listening to English songs,singing aloud,watching English movies or TV show also can improve our English skills. They are fun.
In a word, as long as we do more listening, speaking, reading and writing, we will learn English well. Hope these suggestions can help you.
